What is SBSM?
- SBSM is an opportunity to collectively reset the table on behalf of our unsheltered neighbors. Street Medicine is about bringing high-impact trauma-informed care and medical services directly to clients where they are at. It is about taking criminalization out of outreach. It is about bringing a 360 approach to healing.
What is Street Medicine?
- Street Medicine describes a mobile approach for delivering medical outreach to persons experiencing homelessness where they reside, often in encampments in the streets, as well as in shelters and temporary housing units. Rather than expecting the persons experiencing homelessness to come to a traditional medical office, Street Medicine brings care to patients where they are.
